Requirements for the content of research works


The following are accepted for publication in the journal “Proceedings of the SOTS”:

— research works (scientific articles) corresponding to the thematic direction of the journal and publication ethics (in the amount of 20-40 thousand printed characters with spaces, excluding metadata). Articles must be accompanied by an abstract (at least 100 words) and keywords (5-10 words or phrases) in Russian and English.

— reviews of modern scientific literature corresponding to the thematic direction of the journal (in the amount of 8-15 thousand printed characters with spaces).

— publication of translations, archival materials, other materials related to scientific life - in agreement with the editorial board. 

The following are not accepted for publication:

— texsts of a non-scientific and/or pseudoscientific nature;
— texsts that do not correspond to the subject of the journal;
— texsts that do not comply with the publication ethics of the journal;
— texsts previously published in other sources;
— texsts under consideration in other journals;
— texsts that violate the legislation of the Russian Federation.

All materials received by the journal's editors are subject to checking for borrowing material through Anti-Plagiarism system. The level of originality of the submitted text entering the “research” section (articles) must be at least 80% (excluding metadata and references), for texts sent to other sections - in agreement with the editorial board.

Incorrect borrowing ideas, scientific apparatus and quotes without reference to the source of information or their presentation as one’s own achievements (plagiarism) is not allowed. If plagiarism and other copyright violations are detected, the article is automatically rejected.

All quotations in foreign languages must be accompanied by a translation into Russian.

All materials submitted to the journal are subject to discussion by the editorial board; materials submitted to the “research” section (articles) are subject to mandatory “double-blind” review (see more).
